    Cleaning /home

Hi! The title says it. What is best way to clean /home and can I delete the contents of .cache?

    Thanks for any ideas.

Yes to deleting cache, but "Best way to clean home" is to start a new one. Without knowing what problem you're trying to fix, hard to specify what to do.

Unless you're incredibly low on disk space, just boot up but don't log into the GUI, press ALT-F2 and log into the terminal, rename your old home folder and make a new one, log out, return to the GUI and log in. A new set of home directories and a clean files will be created in your new home. Then you can copy whatever you want to retain from your old home into the new one. Viola - clean home.

Sorry for the dealy in responding. Lot's going on over here. Anyway, thanks for the cache heads up. Haven't tried the other solution yet. Maybe this weekend.
