Kubuntu Backports no longer updating 18.04?

Nope, Dell Latitude D820. Still works, but I need software which is moving to 64bit support (game engines). Need money...

AFAIK, the ten years is for paid Extended Support Maintenance https://www.ubuntu.com/esm for server/cloud.

Ubuntu desktop will remain 5 years.

Thanks Acheron but that's something different. The current understanding is that, in fact, the Ubuntu Desktop will now be supported for 10 instead of 5 years.

Given the context and venue of Shuttleworth's speech, and other bits of discussions and verification I can't find links to back up, I think Acheron is correct. He knows his stuff

Sounds like all they've got is hearsay. Meanwhile, other sites are reporting that the support applies to the desktop --- also hearsay probably. Sounds like Shuttleworth is the only one who knows what he means.
