[SOLVED] Cannot Write to Additional Storage HDD

I've added a new 6TB HDD to the system, under Kubuntu.

It was definitely mounted initially. But even when mounted I could not write to this HDD.

The reluctant drive is /dev/sdd 5.5T.

    I'd be grateful for advice.

Solved. I took ownership using: sudo chown $USER /media/.../...

That was it. Linux file systems will default to root because root has to create them. Once it's mounted the first time and you change ownership to your user it should stay that way.

      Thanks for reporting your solution.
