USB memory stick does not work

I need help. I am new to Kubuntu.
I have a Lenovo G50 laptop. My Sandisk memory stick used to work fine. I do have important documentation on it. Since December 01 Kubuntu can not find this memory stick. Any advice.

With the USB stick not inserted, open a konsole, then insert the USB stick, go to konsole and enter:

dmesg

The copy and paste the last 20 lines in a CODE box.
