Flash in Chromium out of date after upgrade

Just upgraded to 16.10, everythign seems to work but flash in chromium shows 11.2.999.999 which i think is out of date, it won't load content on a lot of sites. works in firefox. in chrome i get:

i tried installing pepperflashplugin-nonfree as well as the adobe version and it has no change at all, it's like it's not installing to chromium. anyone else have this issue? had no problems before going to 16.10, so far this is the only issue i've had.
