    nvidia driver

Well it appears nvidia 304.132 is not working in 16.10. How do I install the previous version from repos? Thank you.

Could grab the .debs from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source...+build/8992938

No guarantee they will work happily with 16.10's update kernel though

They don't play well either. Just a blank screen. Is this a nvidia thing or kubuntu?

No one's had problems with their upgrade and nvidia yet?

Doesn't the 16.10 repository have several more recent NVidia drivers? In 16.04 I see half a dozen

Yes, but it appears that Nvidia dropped support for eddieg538's GPU in any driver newer than 304.

I looked at 304.132 on Nvidia's site and it's suppose to support my graphics card but it will not. My machine boots to a very large screen like there is no driver at all. Even on a new install it's a no go. 304.132 won't even run on 14.04.5 but will on 14.04.3. Any guesses?

Thank you acheron. So it's not just mine, seems a big problem for most distributions.
