Plasma 5 Icon size - scalable vector vs. pixels

Does anyone know why in system settings - icons - advanced there are no options to change the sizes of the icons?
The default Breeze icon theme is using svg ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Vector_Graphics ). The older icon themes are pixel graphic images ( png - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Network_Graphics ). The icon theme specification: http://standards.freedesktop.org/ico...ec-latest.html

With the svg the icon size could/(should) be stepless (?) .

Workaround to get he icon size steps to the svg icons.

    KDE System Settings > Icons.

Pick a icon theme with the steps (Oxygen) > Apply.

Click the 'Overview' to go back to the top level of the KDE System Settings.

Again KDE System Settings > Icons.

    Pick the Breeze > Apply.

Advanced tab should have the option to pick icon size - at here it does.

Default icon size vs. 64 px:

Nice catch. I'm not using Breeze, so that explains why I'm not seeing the issue.

Thanks OneLine unfortunately that didnt work for me. So I thought I would leave it on Oxygen Icons but my desktop icon size wont change. I think it may have to do with the work around for Samsung screens which were showing overly large icons as the EDID info was incorrect.
