I ran the simulation test command and this is what I got:

NOTE: This is only a simulation!
apt-get needs root privileges for real execution.
Keep also in mind that locking is deactivated,
so don't depend on the relevance to the real current situation!

I have been regularly using Muon for update/upgrading ever since installation of kubuntu 14.04 on this Lenova Thinkcenter desktop.
It seems my system must be good.
