    DisplayPort not working

    Hello, the DisplayPort is not working.

    Details:
    -> Kubuntu 14.04
    -> HP Compaq 8300
    -> EDIT: NVIDIA Corporation GT218 [NVS 300] (rev a2) graphic card
    -> Dell UltraSharp 2560x1440 Monitor

    It is working using a DVI cable, but not at full resolution. I'd like to use the DisplayPort cable, but there is not signal at all.

    what could i do to fix it? please ask for more system details if...

    thank you

        So you have an nVidia Quatro card. Is this a laptop or desktop? Does it also have Intel video processing?

        Seems odd that all your ports are listed as DP - Display Port. Mine (nVidia GTX 780) shows:
        Code:
        stuart@office:/usr/share/menu$ xrandr -q
        Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384
        DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
        DVI-I-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
        HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
        DP-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
        DVI-D-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 521mm x 293mm
           1920x1080      60.0*+   50.0
           1680x1050      60.0
           1600x900       60.0
           1440x900       59.9
           1280x1024      75.0     60.0
           1280x800       59.8
           1280x720       60.0     50.0
           1152x864       75.0
           1024x768       75.0     70.1     60.0
           800x600        75.0     72.2     60.3     56.2
           720x576        50.0
           720x480        59.9
           640x480        75.0     72.8     59.9
        DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
        Can you connect both cables at once to your monitor? If so, try it and restart X (or reboot) and see what xrandr -q reports then.

          Hello!

          This is actually my computer and tanakas is trying to help me figure out the problem. It really is weird! I am connected with DIV-D all the time but I run "xrandr -q" it always gives me the same output as before!
