    Zoom player?

My brother has a Zoom play from Microsoft and wanted me to see if I could charge it. Nothing seems to happen when I plug it in. can I install something that is legale to at least let it charge (USB)?

Zune players started working in ubuntu back in 2012 according to google. It's entirely possible they don't any more, however. I guess it's a kernel version issue.

They stopped production of the Zune in late 2011, so I wouldn't be surprised if nobody was working on getting them to connect to current versions of anything.

Charging should still work, it is normally just a hardware function.

See Zune won't charge? Try these tips

Most likely the battery is simply DOA.

            I was thinking that too.
