Can't create transparent stage, because your screen doesn't support alpha channel

I get this error, when using javaFX in Netbeans, I click on a ChoiceBox control. I
am not even sure where this query belongs.
I googled for info & was told to run an nvidia tool to turn this on.
Unfortunately I am running a radon based system.

here is the netbeans info box:

Alpha channel (transparency) is enabled through 3d/Composting support.

What driver are you using for your ATI card and how is it setup?

Unfortunately, I'm an nVidia guy but hopefully someone will come along with help for you.
