You need to cleanup those older kernels, which will regain you a fair amount of space on /boot.

            In a console type:
            Code:
            sudo apt-get purge linux-image-x.x.x-xx-generic
replacing the x's with the version numbers from these kernels:

            linux-image-3.5.0-17-generic
            linux-image-3.5.0-25-generic
            linux-image-3.5.0-26-generic
            linux-image-3.5.0-27-generic
            linux-image-3.7.0-7-generic
            linux-image-3.8.0-19-generic
            linux-image-3.8.0-21-generic
            linux-image-3.8.0-22-generic
            Then:
            Code:
            sudo apt-get purge linux-image-extra-x.x.x-xx-generic

            for these kernels:

            linux-image-extra-3.5.0-17-generic

            linux-image-extra-3.5.0-25-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.5.0-26-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.5.0-27-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.7.0-7-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.8.0-19-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.8.0-21-generic
            linux-image-extra-3.8.0-22-generic

            Then run:
            Code:
            sudo apt-get --purge autoremove && sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get update

This will remove unneeded packages; clean out the package cache of downloaded .deb files, and update the package cache. Then show me the output of:
            Code:
            df -hT --exclude-type=tmpfs --exclude-type=devtmpfs

This is a fairly common problem if you use a separate /boot. I wouldn't keep more than the current kernel and one or two older ones in your case.

As oshunluvr pointed out, using a separate /boot partition, while fine, really limits you on the number of installed kernels you can have. Your / partition is 47G, and if you didn't have a separate /boot partition, that would be way more than large enough. But again, there is no need to keep more than the current operating kernel and the previous kernel (maybe the two previous kernels). That is what I do. I have only two kernels installed at any one time.

Will this work and will it stay open so I can see the output or do I need to add some kind of pause command so I can press enter to exit?

                  #!/bin/bash

You don't need to script it. Just run each of the following, one at a time, from the console.

                    sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.5.0-17-generic

That's probably true but, I have learning to do scripts lately and I figured this was a great excuse to get in some practice.

I can't validate the ppa.launchpad.net raring/main source you are using. I would remove it, as it isn't a valid source, which is why the 404 not found error is given.

Let's take a look at the output of these two commands:
                            Code:
                            cat /etc/apt/sources.list

                            tail -n +1 /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*

SIDEBAR: steve7233, I notice you're using 4 btrfs filesystems on the same drive. A much more useful and efficient way to use btrfs is as a single filesystem with subvolumes. If you're interested in discussing, start a new thread in Misc. and I'll join you there.
