New user creation results in nearly empty panel

This bug is discussed elsewhere, but as it was a thread-jack I thought it deserved it's own thread.

The symptoms are: a newly created user has only the Activities Manager widget in the panel. Nothing else.

Please vote for this bug if you're experiencing it.

I did not think to test a new user yet (but I will later and get back to ya) BUT I did see that on first boot of my 13.04 live-USB , I of course had made a persistence file and upon seeing the blank panel promptly added a default one which contaned all the things you would expect .
upon the actual installation I had the working panel so never thought about it again

will add my vote after checking it out!

A fix for this has been placed in raring-proposed. Please see Launchpad bug 1174689 for details on how to enable that repository and test the fix. It appears to be specific to nVidia graphics and dual screen setups.
