Where is kdmrc?

Just did a clean install of Kubuntu 12.10. I tweak my installations with some changes to kdmrc, but I can't find it. It is not at etc/kde4/kdm/ like it usually is. In fact, there is no etc/kde4 at all.

Neither is it at usr/lib/kde4. In fact, I did a search with Dolphin from / and it didn't find kdmrc at all.

Any ideas what happened to it? Do I have to do something with the install for KDE to generate it?

Did you install kdm? The default as of 12.04 12.10 is lightdm.

No, I did not install kdm. I thought lightdm was just for ubuntu, no? kdm was default on my 12.04 boxes.

LightDM changes a few things. The below link is a how-to by me that shows what needs editing for LightDM for KDMRC. At least I think it will help.

OK, found it. lightdm is indeed on the clean 12.10 install. kdm is on my 12.04 box, updated to 12.10.

I'll start another thread for the real reason why I wanted to get at kdmrc, as lightdm.config is only three lines.

No, I did not install kdm. I thought lightdm was just for ubuntu, no? kdm was default on my 12.04 boxes.

Easy enough to check. Open muon. My 12.04 box is admittedly Ubuntu Server, but all my Kubuntu installs are using lightdm by default. Search reveals Kubuntu didn't make lightdm default until 12.10.
