O.K., but how can I download and use this tool without a working Internet connection? In my home I'm using Wi-Fi to which I cannot connect without KDE interface.

You can connect to your wifi from the console without KDE having started using iwconfig. If the encryption is WPA/WPA2 (which of course it should be) you'll also need to use wpa_supplicant from the wpasupplicant package, which should already be installed.
I haven't done this and I'm not of the exact commands, but this page has some details.
Assumes you know your wifi passphrase, of course.I'd rather be locked out than locked in.Comment
