It happened with me too. Just like that!

That's good. The behaviour isn't specific to Firefox, though. I get the same problem with gvim. I can confirm that logging out and back in causes this problem to occur reliably. This always goes away after a system reboot or an X Server restart (Alt + Ctrl + Backspace).Originally posted by culdesac View PostConfirmed as a bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951725Registered Linux User: #281828 | Kubuntu User: #22280

Do you mean the problem was present in an older version of Kubuntu as well? I had 10.10 before installing 12.04, and I experienced no such issue there.Originally posted by dtr View PostHopefully there will be a fix for this. I recently upgraded to Kubuntu 12.04, with nvidia 295.20 and this still happens, to me and other users on my desktop. Restarting the X server seems to fix it too, but not really an acceptable solution.Registered Linux User: #281828 | Kubuntu User: #22280

Looks like the latest update has added a workaround to this issue. KDE now defaults to restarting X server when you log out. This means I at least won't have to manually restart X when I mean to simply log out.
