No sound with HDMI

Ive just hooked my TV up to my computer with an HDMI cable. I get video but no sound. Whats weird though is that when I go to the Phonon sound settings and click "test" the sound comes through the TV, but when I play any kind of media, the sound comes through the headphone jack on my computer.

Any ideas??

Sounds like a setting in your media player. More info would be helpful, like what media player....

What are your settings at System Settings > Multimedia > Phonon > Device Preference? Is the HDMI device at the top of the list (ie preferred) for Audio Playback - default, and Audio Playback - Music, and Audio Plavback - Video, etc?

That did it....had to set all of them to HDMI. Thanks.
