i can't install rc 10.10 on my nb.
after boot screen kubuntu with dots under text I see this

How are you trying to install it? Do you have a Live CD? Does it boot and run correctly? Details on your hardware might help (make, model, graphics chip).

I do not get the choice between LiveCD and Install to HDD.

If Alt+Ctrl+F1 works, then dump the contents of ".xession-errors". Also edit grub and remove quiet from the end of "linux" string to see if any error messages occur.

Are all of those processors capable of running a 64-bit OS? If in doubt, you might try burning a CD with the 32-bit ISO.

On the Live CD, do you get the initial text menu?

I downloaded iso image with kubuntu 10.04 x64 and this work for my.

I have this tests on iso image kubuntu 10.10 x64:
removoving from grub option quiet

Picture2 its a first screen show at boot
Picture1 its a output before i get a white screen

sorry the Alt+Ctrl+F1 dont work for my

after last line come a white screen

Ah, an nVidia GPU. On the initial screen when the LiveCD has booted, F4 Modes, allows you to choose which video mode to use while booting. You want to select the Safe Graphics Mode (or it's equivalent). This 'should' allow you to proceed to a usable desktop environment. It won't be pretty, but will be functional. From there, setting up your nVidia GPU is doable.
