Re: KDE 4.5.1 - where is it?

the Dolphin hangs/crashes are due to something dbus-related. Lucid has 1.2.x, and the 1.3.x (pre-release) fixes this problem

Maverick stlll has a 1.2.x dbus, though iirc newer than Lucid, and I never saw a problem with dolphin/konqueror in 10.10 BUT maverick's 4.5.1 definitely is snappier than lucid - if only desktop effects would run

          http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/dbus#DBus1.3.1

and, for Lucid, I got it here: https://launchpad.net/~aleksander-m/...us-development

The annoying pause in Dolphin disappeared and things appear snappier.

Let me know how goes. I experience that Dolphin "slowness" every once in a while and if that fixes it and you have no issues either, I'm a installing!

Well, now I can even open the Login Manager or whatever it's called, that's because I just installed Mave in German... That didn't happen ever before and I haven't experienced any real issue with Dolphin.
