Heh.

I spent a lot of time and energy trying to help that gal. Then she went elsewhere and somehow got it fixed by installing a downloaded Nvidia driver.

So, all that's left is a half-decent writeup on how to determine the possible modelines for a 10-year old CRT.

I really gotta get a life! :P
