    Touchpad settings panel disabled

I wanted to customize my touchpad settings, for instance: to enable two-finger scrolling. But when I went into system settings and clicked on keyboard&mouse, the whole touchpad section was disabled ("greyed out"). But in the past, I was able to change the settings and they weren't disabled. I'm not really sure what happened.

EDIT: I'm able to change the settings again now. I think a reboot was all I needed. But I am still not able to use two-finger scrolling.

    I'm using Kubuntu 10.04
    on an Asus EeePC Seashell
    with 1GB of RAM
    32 bit ATOM processor

P.S. I'm new to this forum. Sorry if I am missing info or put this in the wrong forum.

likely xorg auto-configured your pad as a mouse. Look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and see what it says.
You may need to create an xorg.conf file and add in your touchpad manually.
