You could report against Neon in bugs.kde.org if you think that is not right.

Or a bug with the vault itself can be reported against the plasma-vault product on bugs.kde.org

So did "we" ever figure out how to delete an unwanted vault?

              Taken from KDE Forum https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?t=140740

              1. Delete the folder ~/Vaults/Vault_NAME
              2. Delete the folder ~/.vaults/Vault_NAME.enc
              3. Delete the entry for the vault inside of ~/.config/plasmavaultrc

I'm waiting for that answer myself. I think the feature is coming, IIRC. But simply deleting the files in the ".vaults" directory does not remove the folder from the Vaults application. It just changes the icon to a red one, indicating that the particular vault is broken.

But that's not really a satisfactory answer is it? Just a temporary work-around.

Right. And I don't see the release "fixed" in 5.12 either.

yes ,,,a temporary work around .

the Developer is (supposedly) working on it for a possible release with 18.04 ,,,,or soon thereafter.

it seems he originally did not consider that people may want to remove/test their vaults

It will be a part of the release after the LTS. Didn't want to add new features
in this one - just polish and bug fixes.

Did he say how the deletion would be handled? He was most enthusiastic about using the Trash and its undelete feature.

I think he is leaning more toured the approach in comment #3 in the bug report ,,,,,,,IE: having 2 options 1-Dismantel , just removing the entry in the app and leaving the data folders for the user to do with as they please and 2-Full delete , removing the entry from the app and a "permanently" delete all data.

but we will see shortly after the 18.04 goes release.
