Connect to the internet problems on Kubuntu distro.

Hi,

I have a problems to connect to the internet on Kubuntu.
Can somebody please explain what and how i should do
to connect to the net step by step, i have tried almost
everything, but seems my net card not supporting, what
should i do, can somebody explain please?

How do you normally connect to the internet? Dial up modem? DSL router? Cable?

What net card do you have that is not supported? Make? Model?

Hello arochester!

I have ADSL modem with PPPOE, my modem model is ZTE
and a network card is:

3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller (3C905C-TX Compatible)
integrated in pc.

I also tried to connect not trough net card, but trough modem,
nothing though..

I think that PPPoE out of my experience. Perhaps someone else will take up this thread.

Do you actually connect through PPPoE - do you log in with a username and password? Or does DHCP work and could the modem be changed?

I do as described in manual, everything
is works now, on Ubuntu and Kubuntu
