What he's trying to say is how do I enable pipelining (which btw is the speedup technique popular among Fx users.<br />

Not sure if Konqueror can be made as fast as Firefox.
Unfortunately Kubuntu doesn't ship with Firefox.

Yes. Konqueror is really slow, but the prime objective of Konqueror is not browsing the Internet.Code:apt-get install mozilla-firefox
It works fine on Fast Internet connections, but as you are experiencing, it totally sux on Slower connections.Comment

Me too.
I have broadband here. But I have also used Konqueror on a Dial-Up connection and it sucks big time.
Very slow on Dial-up.
Moreover, Konqueror is not as powerful as Firefox is. So I would recommend switching over to Firefox.
Also, Konqueror doesn't support GMAIL as a compatible Web Browser, which is sad.
