    Manual partitioning

    I want to do the manual partitioning (in 20.04.2) and when I want to add the partition for efi the installer chooses ext4 automatically! I cannot choose FAT32. What should I do?

    Are ypu sure you are booting in EFI mode?

        There should be a filesystem option of "esp". Selecting esp for the EFI partition automatically assigns it as fat32 and attaches the appropriate flags for an EFI partition.

          Not sure what you are doing, but this is what yuou need to select to add an EFI partition. Specify the size, and select the options shown in the 'use as' section - scroll all the way down:
