Windows resize crash Kbuntu after update

    Hi,

I moved over to Kubuntu about two months ago from Win11 and am still finding my way around.

I installed the latest (large) Ubuntu update, and since then, every time I drag any program window to the top of the screen, the whole PC freezes and cannot be recovered.

I have an NVIDIA graphics card, which I’ve heard can be related.

    Any ideas?

    I'd start with running
    Code:
    nvidia-smi
in terminal to see what or if nvidia drivers installed.

It told me: does not exist, then i installed: sudo apt install nvidia-utils-595
now I only have 640x480 resolution and get this responds:

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver
. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running

treid reinstalling but this told me it is already up to date.
(on the plus side: the original error is gone, just can not use my PC now with the low resolution )

        sudo ubuntu-drivers install
restart and it seems all to work
