I'm currently on Kubuntu 26.04 LTS, but this problem is not new. I've had it since I installed the emacs-gtk deb on Kubuntu 25.10
When I grab the bottom edge of an emacs window to increase its window size, it may highlight a small increase, not corresponding to the amount I dragged by, then increase the length by some amount different from the highlighting - after a longish time interval. It may do nothing.
Resize from the more actions part of the per-window menu (context menu in toolbar, or left click on whatever glyph is in the upper left of the window title bar) behaves similarly.
I do not see this problem with other apps. In particular, I've been testing with LibreOffice Calc.
Any suggestions?
Note that there were multiple choices of emacs package to install, including at least two that seemed to be the same underlying emacs, with emacs available in a window as well as in a terminal window. Maybe the other one is more compatible with kde?
p.s. I have the new translucent windows feature turned off so am not getting additional hints to window state from it.
p.p.s. I can't get a screenshot of the behaviour because of limitations of Spectacle and/or my knowledge of how to use it effectively.
