After upgrading to Kubuntu 26.04 LTS, and restoring at least part of my KDE configuration, I now have white text overlaying the virtual desktop display/control element in my panel.

If this had been described to me - names without having to hover with the mouse to get a tooltip - I would have expected to like it. But the names are truncated, and white on grey really isn't my favorite colour combination. I'd like to make it go away.
This is presumably controlled somewhere in settings, but not in the virtual desktops section, which hasn't changed.
If I knew what the feature was called, I could search for it - or I could step through every single section of settings looking for it and recognize it when I found it.
Unfortunately, I don't know what it's called and there are a lot off sub-screens in settings.
Also, it might not be controlled from settings. Maybe there's a context menu somewhere that controls this, if I can find enough empty space to invoke that menu.
So, does anyone know what this is called and how it is controlled?
