    Hard Disk Encryption

New to Kubuntu. In Pop-OS and Fedora I was able to encrypt the hard drive on my pc at the time of installing the OS. I realized after I was changing a second PC to Kubuntu that neither it or the first PC offered to encrypt my hard drive as the ISO was installed. I have found a few posting here and there suggesting there is a very small box to click in the KDE partition manager program. If it is there my eyes can't find it. When I did the install I just allowed it to do the default install and did not ask for any special customizations. The hard drive had a boot partition with fat32 and the /dev/sda2 is ext 4. Drive is 2 TiB.

The only other info I have been able to glean is that possibly I would need to do custom partitioning to get encryption to work.

Any help would be appreciated. If I need to do a reinstall that is fine. Using 26.04 at this time.

Encrypting a drive post install *is* technically possible, but it seems rather involved, and imo starting from scratch will be easier and safer.

Ok thanks. I missed that button when I installed mine. Will back track and try again. (like all of my projects, do them once and then do them again!)
