help me help my wife PLEASE!!!!

I recently switched my wife over to kubuntu and she loves it, but I cannot get her openrgb to recognize her ram. it finds everuything else. herw the weird part, she and i have the exact same pc's. i built both of them and maintain all system updates ... everything. ever piece ofthe pc's are the same. My system finds the ram.... hers will not. she will not shut up about getting it fixed. i have tried everything i did to my system and nothing is working. Can someone please offer some real help? i am begging to get help and shut her up.

This probably belongs with OpenRGB support options,

But just in case- which Kubuntu release is being used on both?
Which version of OpenRGB is on each, and sourced from where?
Do you see in the logs or the app's output that the hardware is actually detected or not?

Identical BIOS version *and* settings, assuming the rgb controller is on-board?

Have you verified that the sticks do actually work, in terms of the RGB, maybe even swapping them with yours, to check for functionality, or it is a mobo issue/

Worst case is you swap your working hardware to her PC, and swap OS drives lol. That is the first thing I'd do anyway
    Self-built: Asus PRIME B550M-K/Ryzen 5600GT/32Gb/Intel ARC B580 12Gb/KDE neon
    HP Elitedesk 800 G3 Mini: i5-7500T(35w)/32Gb/Kubuntu LTS
    HP Chromebook 14: i5-1135G7/8Gb/512Gb SSD/KDE Linux

So everything is the same. both newest version of kubuntu. both newest version openrgb from their site. yes the ram work because her windows boot up allows her rgb software to change the colors. I have no idea how to see the logs.

i would make sure both machines have the latest device spec from open rgb...

it's possible they have different definitions and one is not recognizing the ram

there is a process to follow on the openRGB website

        https://openrgb.org/udev
        some stuff i did: https://github.com/droidgoo

        Intel® Core™ i7-14700K | 64 GiB of RAM | AMD RX 6800
