Hello everyone,
I'm installing a new Linux system.
Naturally, I downloaded the Kubuntu-24.04.4-desktop-amd64 image.
I started the installation almost immediately, but I got the message "python failure invalid python script"!!!
From the archives, I downloaded the Kubuntu-24.04.3-desktop-amd64 image and created a new live USB.
I started the installation, and after 19 minutes, everything froze—no CPU usage, no I/O!
Luckily, I found an old live USB created with the Kubuntu-24.04.2-desktop-amd64 version. The installation went quickly and without any problems.
However, all these ISOs have the same annoying bugs:
1) When selecting French as the language, the keyboard layout remains QWERTY.
2) The installer refuses to see the /dev/mapper/* files, which forces a lot of workarounds when you want a customized encrypted system.
