    Canon Printer install

Newbie to Kubunto, really struggling to get my Canon Pixma TR4755i to connect. Any help please, as this will be my final escape from Windows 10 Pro. Never seem to be able to locate specific driver for this device. Canon Website offered Debian based driver but still no luck

First, a little more info would help.
Second, have you tried the "standard" wireless connection? and using the K > System Settings > Printers?
    (did that fail? details ...?)

I am not the printer guy! But I went through quite a bit with my HPs here, and, actually, it turned out to be relatively easy. Just to give the idea:

Instead of connecting the printer using a USB cable, I tried WiFi.
And instead of using HPs software, I just only use that System Settings menu.

My Router/Modem has a WPS button. So:
1 On the printer, hold down the wireless button for a few seconds and the signal bars blink.
2 On the wireless router, press and hold the WPS button for a few seconds, let up, wait a couple minutes, when the wireless light (on the printer) stops blinking, the connection is successful.

Period! And it shows up appropriately under System Settings > printers.
There's some details involved, but first you gotta get this far.

This may not be of any help to you. Someone will show up who maybe knows your Cannon printer.

Thanks for your input, apologies for lack of info. Sadly, not running wireless (only USB). However, after intensive research through the web, i found a solution but due to being a newbie, i forgot how i got there, apologies.
Printer config now shows the following.

      Connection:- implicitclass://Canon_TR4700_series_USB/

      Driver:- Current -Canon Printer,driverless, 2.0.0

I fully understand the journey you've been on!
By hook or by crook ... tweaking this and that often gets these puppies running.
And be prepared to fix it if the setting gets lost.
For me here, I must have the Default printer do the printing, and "driverless" is important.
Glad you're up and running. Thanks for the feedback.

BTW, just to add more clouds to the picture, on one HP printer, it looked like I needed the USB connection.
But on a newer HP printer now, I could not get that USB driver/connection to go: had to use the wireless.
Maybe someone else could have done better!
          So, stay flexible here.
