[RESOLVED] Read and write Windows NTFS?

How can you read and write to a Windows NTFS hard drive from Kubuntu? I mean, how can you copy something to an NTFS hard drive or delete a file?

    plasma makes this easy.

click on the Disks & Devices icon in the system tray an open up the configure interface.

you should find a list of all your attached storage devices where you can pick and choose which ones to have appear in dolphin (and the rest of your DE).

in dolphin you will find these mounted for your under /media where you save them to places, bookmark them or use them as the source for file widgets you place on the desktop.

you can even assign your ntfs windows desktop to be your linux desktop folder by right clicking on the desktop and assigning your windows folder to the dialog box.

i have a panel with folder view widgets that take me directly to my windows folders in dolphin

read/write access is perfectly functional, but i would not recommend trying to run .exe files from an NTFS file system as the permissions structure is not set up for that.

Thank you very much for this information. I now have full access to this hard drive and can delete files. 🎉🥳
