Make second monitor default to mirror the main screen at startup

I'm trialling Kubuntu from USB. I have a second monitor which mirrors the screen on the laptop. What happens is that at startup, the default is for the second monitor to not mirror, and so I need to do a right click > mirror second screen, and then everything works perfectly. How can I set things up so the second monitor mirrors the first automatically without manual intervention please?
