    Bad update to generic 6.17.0-7.7

    Hi I did an update that seemed to have cause kernal panic and had to revert back to a previous full version. Doing a manual console update gives me this

    I am not experienced enough to know what this means other than something with the GPU driver and on how to fix it

    You probably need to uninstall the AMDGPU video driver. It isn't useful on desktop systems and doesn't support non-LTS Ubuntu releases anyway.
    It is trying to build a kernel module for the new kernel update and failing

    I'm not sure if Secure Boot is getting in the way here or not.

    AMD uses Mesa for 3d acceleration (aka gaming etc ) on the desktop, and actually recommends using the built-in open source drivers for most situations

    If you want to try a more up to date Mesa after removing AMDGPU, there is a PPA that provides this.
