    Trouble with everything Kubuntu 24.04

I hoped linux would save me from Windows.. but it made my life worse. After my first install, i wanted to update/change Nvidea GPU drivers, and it made the internet disapear. Tried a whole day, the little info i could find on my phone to fix it, but ended up reinstalling the OS(Kubuntu 24.04).. and this time i did not touch anything.. My internet was back, but firefox is regurlary crashing. And whatever i install or "allow execute" Appimage wont respond . Nothing happens. and this is a problem, because now im stuck. i want to etch a new USB stick with new OS, but nothing will install. is there an alternative to windows that is userfriendly, with no BS terminal scripting to get thing to kindaoff working. Im dont want to spend a second tinkering with the OS. i want a ready to use easy to install programs, no Crashing OS.
So first off, any idea how i can can install an Etcher to linux? ive tried installing libfuse2 and libfuse2t64, and checking "is executable".

Hello. Can you give information about your computer ? And how did you manage to install Nvidia ? Kubuntu is user friendly but you need some times to learn about. Anyway. You can flash usb with Start up Disk Creator in Kubuntu if it's a Debian based distro. I recommend you give a try to LinuxMint 22.2 or maybe Zorin_OS if you cannot fix Kubuntu. If you want to try to fix it, then please, give computer's information. If needed, i use Popsicle installed with Flatpak. You can check Flathub web site.

nvidia drivers in kubuntu are as easy as it gets... a point an click affair.

how were you trying to add the drivers?

also there could be something wrong with either the .iso you downloaded or the thumb drive itself (they do wear out), so try re-downloading the .iso (verify the checksum) and try putting it onto a different thumb drive before doing another install again.
