Hi Kubuntu community,
After 28 years with SuSE/OpenSUSE, I'm testing Kubuntu for possible migration.
Installation went very well, but now I can't login into the system. I suspect the keyboard layout is not set to Czech as I set it during the installation process and as a result the password gets mangled. Unfortunately:
- there's no option to switch/confirm the keyboard layout
- the Virtual Keyboard button does not work - it does move controls to make room for the keyboard, but does not display it
- I wasn't able to paste the password into the Kubuntu (in VirtualBox), but that's probably by design
- I wasn't able to find a way to login into terminal
And yes, I'm quite sure I'm entering a relevant password 🙂. Within the installation, I displayed it to visually confirm I typed it correctly (twice).
Kubuntu is a fresh standard install and is running in VirtualBox (as I would like to test and evaluate Kubuntu).
Could you please give me some suggestions for resolving this issue?
Best regards,
Oak
