    Kubuntu on Ubuntu

    Hi,
I have installed Ubuntu 18.04 but there I don't have internet connection. Could I overwrite it with Kubuntu or I'll have two OS and I'll have to remove Ubuntu? Colud it help with problems with internet and GUI?

Ubuntu and Kubuntu are related. The most recent Ubuntu uses the Gnome Desktop Environment and Kubuntu KDE.

If you are using Ubuntu and have an Internet connection, but can't connect to the Internet you might be better to find out why.

Do you connect by a cable or wirelessly? Does your computer have a MAKE and MODEL or can you give us the basic specs?

You can totally overwrite Ubuntu with Kubuntu, but you might end up with the same problem...

Assuming you have burned the iso properly you just need to reboot and change the boot order, so your computer boots from the DVD first.

I had a laptop that I installed Kubuntu 18.04 on and wireless would not work, this Envy I'm on now actually, it did work in the live version, but wouldn't after install. I ended up hooking it up with wire, updated and problem solved, I'm guessing the driver for this wifi card didn't get installed.
