how to hibernate from kde 18.04

    Hi,

I just installed Kubuntu 18.04, and I want to have a menu option in KDE to hibernate my laptop.

I have tried pm-hibernate and it hibernates correctly.

    TIA

Also check sudo systemctl hibernate. If that works too, it should be sufficient to create a file in /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/ as described here: Add ‘Hibernate’ Option in Power Menu in Ubuntu 18.04 | UbuntuHandbook
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.
