No sound when connecting Creative Headset HS-720

Hi all!, i just installed kubuntu 16.04. I have sound music and everything, but when i connect my headset linux recognizes it (its even in the device list) but no sound is coming out from there. It keeps coming out the normal computer speakers.

Do you know why this may be hapening?

try this ,,,,if you click the speaker icon in the system tray do you see the head set listed ,,,,,yes ,,,then click the "applications" tab click and hold and drag the application that is playing something the window will change back to the outputs ,,,drop it (the application playing) on the head set ,,,,dose it work now ?

a little known , not at all obvious feature that was added not to long ago .

I used to (well still do) install pavucontrol now their is pavucontrol-qt as it gives a more intuitive interface for mapping stream directions ...(from where to what and the like )
