    Need expert help with Timeshift

I bought a new laptop and deleted all partitions and installed Kubuntu 22.04 with encryption. If I make restore points with Timeshift what is the correct procedure to restore a snapshot to a new SSD? In other words how to I do a bare metal restore of an encrypted Kubuntu installation? Thanks for any guidance I might recieve.

    Hello gmc42,
I'm no Timeshift expert but this Mint forum entry may be of help to you.
    Good Luck.

I will say tha that it's not possible to restore an encrypted boot sector with time shift. So if you encrypted the boot sector you can not restore it.

Thanks for your input kc1di. I will experiment in VirtualBox to see what I can do! Otherwise I might have to forgo any system backups.
