ACPI bus error - could not resolve symbol

Since an update aproxly a week ago I get errors on boot that show for a too short time to write them down.

The glympse I got was "ACPI bus error, could not resolve symbol."

I could not find that in the system log. Where are errors that show on boot found?

One way to give more information to the experts around here would be
    Code:
    sudo dmesg -H
in Konsole and copy the appropriate lines for the forum.

    Have a nice day.

Well, at least there is no error in the lines you posted, just informational entries…
Be sure to scroll down in Konsole (arrow down / arrow up or page down / page up) to find your errors.

PS: If you are sure that the error concerns only ACPI you could just
        Code:
        sudo dmesg -H | grep -i acpi
        to narrow your search.

The output stopped after that and I thought you just wanted info about my system.

The acpi only code gave this (since it says acpi bios error too I would like to state that I did not do any bios updates for years):

            Code:
            sudo dmesg -H
always freezes my Konsole more or less after the info I gave btw.

I just mentioned that when I increase the window size of the console it shows more before freezing, which is very odd.

This sort of thing probably warrants some hardware and kernel info.
The motherboard and bios version might be helpful too.
Kubuntu version might be useful, but mainly for helping with the kernel version, and narrowing search results.

Are there any symptoms or problems anywhere? Hopefully there are none, so ignoring the screen output is safe until this is figured out.
You can try booting to a previous kernel via Grub and see if this still happens there.

I have experienced no problems besides those errors on boot.

When I go back to Kernel version 5.15.0-33 the errors on boot dont show anymore. The errors show only with the two versions after that.

                  Code:
                  sudo dmesg -H
is still causing the Konsole to freeze/crash though after the max window size is filled with text.

                  Code:
                  sudo dmesg -H | grep -i acpi
is not resulting in a freeze/crash though and shows no errors anymore (as expected since they dont show on boot anymore):
                  $ sudo dmesg -H | grep -i acpi

always freezes my Konsole more or less after the info I gave btw.

I just mentioned that when I increase the window size of the console it shows more before freezing, which is very odd.
The -H invokes a pager, by default "less". Is there a colon at the bottom left of the konsole window? Typing a space should show the next screenful, and typing "q" exits.

but maybe your sudo less has problems, which can be avoided by not using -H, say
                    Code:
                    sudo dmesg | less

Google tells me you've hit a kernel problem, see for example this debian report

Thanks, I just used it because it was suggested and didnt know about the pager function -H invokes.

That resolved my problem that I had to foce quit the Konsole after using that command because I couldnt put in another command after thx.

So I guess I'll have to wait until that kernel bug has been fixed.
