Can conky 1.10 windows be made click-through?

I read how to make conky consistently pass clicks to the root window from September 2016.

The poster tried using conky 1.10 but couldn't get click-through to work. He downgraded to v1.9 and got it to work.

Has anyone here tried to get click-through to work with conky 1.10 and Plasma v5.8.7 with success?

@hear their is no need ,,, windows will cover conky,,,,,they do not go under it.
