[Development] Chromium O/S I want to run it on my new load of 22.04 LTS

Chromium O/S I want to run it on my new load of 22.04 LTS - I have done a bit of reading over the past 2 weeks and I have yet to find a way to run the Chromium O/S. I have got downloads and pages that describe how to do it, BUT the scripts are either wrong, or the syntax for the terminal window only produce error codes when implemented. So I am asking my good friends here on the forum. Does anyone want to help me figure out how to run Chromium O/S on the new LTS?

It's an OS. You aren't/can't install an OS on top of another OS without destroying that OS.

    See: https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chromium-os-faq/

Agreeing with Snowhog here, Chromium OS is a completely separate OS, and is unrelated to Kubuntu in any way.

Chromium OS is fairly difficult to install, compared to most Linux distros. Often you need to build the whole OS

You haven't listed any links to instructions you have tried, so I can't say how good or current they are.

      But:
https://chromeenterprise.google/os/chromeosflex/ <-- the new dog in town, formerly the Neverware chromium os project, and probably the best/easiest choice here.

      and
      https://chromium.arnoldthebat.co.uk/?dir=daily

I am not sure if dual booting is possible with either of these, since the partition scheme is quite different from a PC or laptop, more like a phone with quite a a lot of specialized partitions. I have not looked as this topic is a while.

Well it's been about a month I have been looking into it. I tho't I interpreted some of the recommendations that it ran inside Kubuntu like a folder you would execute after the build. I must be wrong. The last website I was on is https://www.chromium.org and I don't want to wipe out the new LTS I just installed. So I'll wait to get totally bored. I had a guy bring over his chromebook and clean it up. Then another guy asked me to help him with some other stuff on his CB. So I plunked a bit with them and got the stupid idea of loading over LTS. One CB I put Linux on and loaded the Gnome "ap store" and KDE "ap store". That was kind of cool. Most of the cheap CBs on the market don't have enough power to make them useful except for google aps though. Thanks Guys!

The two links I gave should get you to install-able images, though this page has some Flex direct downloads and instructions - the BIN file can be flashed to a USB stick using whatever tool, such as Etcher
          https://tech-latest.com/download-ins...-on-pc-or-mac/
This does have a live session option

There is always Virtualbox or Virt-manager for playing around with this fun stuff

I have installed full linux distros on my chromebooks in the past, via Gallium OS.
I also use Chrome OS's native Linux lxc container as you have, to install some useful bits (like Firefox lol) on top of a few Android apps.

Yes, the Linux container it is not that useful for lots of heavier things, on my cheeeep arm64 Lenovo 10e Chrome OS tablet it works OK, not for regular use. On my beefier Lenovo Duet 5 it runs Linux pretty nicely overall, but that has 8Gb of ram

On these devices, even running native arm64 linux builds is a small challenge, and quite different from doing so on x86 hardware.
