.deb programs I install outside of Discover don't show in Discover

Noticed that anything I download and install as a .deb from online will install fine but will never show as installed in the Discover package management, its there a setting I need to change somewhere?

To remove them I'm currently using Synaptic Package manager.

There isn't a setting for it.
The debs you are installing are likely missing the Appstream metadata that app stores like Discover need to be able to show things - summaries, images, and the like.
