    Launcher and Transparency

    Kubuntu ver 14

Has anyone managed to achieve transparency in their launchers?

If so, how did you configure this function?

    Thanks

Well first you need to install a theme that supports transparency and also you need to activate desktop effects (if not already activated)
systemd is not for me. I am a retro Nintendo gamer. consoles I play on are, SNES; N64; GameCube and WII.

      Thank you for responding.

I have recently installed a new theme (not transparent), but has an attractive appearance. What surprised me is the effect, or not, on the launch menu backgrounds. In two, the backgrounds were the same as the theme (expected); but, in another, there was no effect (unexpected), and, in another, it was far too dark, much darker than the theme. As you can see, I have a number of launchers installed and will decide upon one shortly. I hope that I will be able to deactivate all but one of the launchers without deleting them.

      Best wishes
