The USB 2 ports in my problematic computer stopped working. I opened the box and made a reconnection of the cables, however when I restarted to verify they work, the login screen opened with a purplish background with dots on it. It also indicated both my first and last name, which is quite unusual, then requested the password for a guest.
My password was rejected, as were all passwords I have used in the past. I am alone, and there are no other users on my computer. How can I open my Kubuntu 15.10 OS? Thanks!
