    Open Office doc problem

Am using OpenOffice - removed Libre Office.
It has been working fine for over a month, until today.
On opening any existing document, this pops up:

Name:	doc_recovery.png
Views:	1
Size:	26.1 KB
ID:	648783

It recovers successfully, but attempting to type immediately produces this:

Name:	index outofbounds.png
Views:	1
Size:	9.2 KB
ID:	648784
    On clicking, the document closes.

    Any suggestions for a remedy?

I found this on the OpenOffice.org web site
    Base Hierarchy

    IndexOutOfBoundsException
    ┗ ::com::sun::star::uno::Exception

    Description
This exception is thrown to indicate that a container has been accessed with an illegal index.

The index is either negative or greater than or equal to the count of the elements.
It maybe that the document you were trying to recover had gotten corrupt.

Have you tried to open a blank document in OpenOffice writer, and if you had is it still performing this error?

      Thanks for your reply!
None of my existing docs (open office) will open.
I have reinstalled (hopefully) open office explicitly following the Apache sites's instructions.
      Rebooted
Cannot start or open a document! What a mess!!
      Have found another site
      https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...736#post361736
that goes through the whole process from uninstall to finish. Will let you know when it is 'hopefully" successfully.
