My mouther worked with punch cards when she worked with the census bureau , before she got in with the DOD Navy .

I remember her taking me to work at the DOD ,,,,,,the computer floor (ya hole floor) and the rows of real to real magnetic tape readers ,,,, I think she sead it would take more than 1 of these big tape reals to load/run a single program
