Open Dolphin. Click on and drag to the Root folder to the folder. Choose Link Here and give it a name, like Root Folder.

you have left a few things to the readers assumption hear ,,,,,,,,but lets try.

I will assume you have the default folder view of ~/ (/home/you)
I will assume you want a folder named root that will open / and show you
    Code:
    vinny@vinnys-HP-G62:~$ ls /
bin dev initrd.img lib32 media proc sbin tmp vmlinuz
boot etc initrd.img.old lib64 mnt root srv usr vmlinuz.old
cdrom home lib lost+found opt run sys var
all the root files and directory’s..................

open dolphin and right click a blank space>go to "create new">click "link to location (URL)>under "File name:"type "root" or link to root or whatever you want,,,,,then under "Enter link to location (URL):" type /

click OK ,,,,,,,now a folder called root will be in your folder view (& /home/you) that will open /

    Adding Folders to Folder View

On one of my desktops, I have Folder View .

To extend the view I have copied the Wastebin folder to this view.

I would also like to add the Root folder.

Can someone tell me how to include this icon (copy) in the desktop view?

    Thanks
